Striving for Excellence!

This artical belongs to Parag dada's collection. I read it. I liked it. I ask you to read this. It may be little bit lengthy or it may be boring in some parts, but at the end, you will really love it. I am sure, it will give you a confidence, which will guide you for whole of your life.

Striving for Excellence!
A little chap from a middle class family, five feet five inches, wheat complexion was standing at

the door step after my session on Promoting Thought Leadership. He was little curious and

nervous. I find anxiousness in his eyes. Slowly as crowd disappeared, he came to me and straight

a way said – “ I am an engineer, meritorious student, achieved so many awards in life but still I

find myself unsuccessful; I find myself unsatisfied. I am fade up with company politics, family

expectations, unending work pressures, daily traffic jams, poor health and fear of getting a pink

slip from a company upon my underperformance. It has become so frustrating to live in the space

of competition, comparison, compromise. Please help me to overcome this.”

As education brings prestige, money and sense of achievement it equally brings ego with it.

You may possess the little extra qualification than your parents, your peers and it is sufficient to

feed your ego. It will diminish the harmony in the family in the friend circle. Ego may come

from the sense of status in life. Knowledge can make you sometimes egoistic. And then the

peace is gone. Ego in search of peace is a perpetual beggar.

Beyond the results, beyond the success; beyond money, power, fame and everything; when we

see a human being, I in spirit and you in spirit are one and the same.

Only through ethical and moral living we can have the life where we are not required to hide

ourselves from ourselves. It is the manifestation of energy which defies your life when source of

energy for you, me and others is same. Rather than recognizing peripheral difference between

you and others why not to connect ourselves through spiritual oneness we have?

If we could achieve the state of mind which is out of ego and have no distortion in what you feel,

what you think, what you do, what you achieve and what you report; that is the sense of

peacefulness. The boy who came to me was in a state of mind where what he feels is different

than what he thinks. What he does is different than what he achieves. And what he reports or

what he shows to the outside world is totally the false impression of achievement when truly he

is somewhere lost in understanding his own purpose of life. Thus, it becomes very important to

draw your own roadmap of future and imprint it in the mind at very early stage of the age.

I write this article with immense sense of responsibility to make your time worth investing in

Tirelessly striving to stretch your arms towards perfection is the key. Where the clear stream of

thoughts is not lost somewhere, and you drive it to your goal, you are supposed to achieve what

you are worth for. First neutralize yourself with let ego be out of your body. One human life

lived well could be the turning point for the rest of the world.

In the process of living life you will face ups and downs. The graph of the life is not straight line

and it shall not be a mere straight line. Failure is such fantastic point which allows you to

introspect. The question when you fail is, not what world says on your failure, but, the question

is why you failed? Introspection is the first step in the process of accepting the failure. Many fail

in accepting the failure. They challenge the fact. I don’t want you to challenge the fact but you

shall challenge the future, you shall challenge your own capacities. And the reason is very

simple, the reason for my today is my own past. Do you have any excuse for your failure?

Nobody is interested in your excuses, then why you are? God loves the Trier but world loves the

Failure is not a Defeat! I don’t mind if you fail but I mind if you won’t bounce back. Success is

how much you bounce back when you hit the bottom. - Anonymous

Every today has to be somehow better than yesterday, and every tomorrow has to be better than

today. When clear stream of reason is not lost its way into the dearly desert sand of dead habits;

where everything can be rationale, reasoned out, scientifically explained, when we can build the

intellectual society, there is where we are hitting the era of transformation.

Rabindranath Tagore Said – “When clear stream of reason is not lost its way into the dearly

desert sands of dead habits. Where the mind is laid forward by the into every widening thought

and action into that heaven of action, my father, let my country awake.”

A time comes in the life of caterpillar that it doesn’t want to be a caterpillar any more and that is

the beginning of butterfly. Let’s forget what our past is. Let’s draw the line to set the past as

history and let’s get ready to create the future. If you don’t draw the line then our future will

remain mere repetition, an imposition of the past. Let’s stop conditioning of the past and let’s

from now condition ourselves for the challenge, for changes.

Let’s feel the paradigm shift. Translation into implementation of real life is the aim of the course.

But tonight when you go to sleep, somewhere at the back of mind you feel the translation of your

own thoughts, transformation of your own thought process.

“The day you stop learning is the day you stop growing!”

You are uniquely different. When I am travelling on a road, many people overtake me. Just the

matter he is travelling faster than me he will reach the destination earlier than me but it never

means I won’t reach the destination. Sooner or later even I will reach.

Let’s not waste our time in dissecting our past which cannot be relived. Let’s focus on future,

The spirit of acceptance to accept the past is important. Knowledge is never given to you to

change your past but it is given to you to build your future. Yesterdays experiences were

required to gain maturity of today. Forgive others. Let’s not hate others for whatever wrong they

have done to you. Let us forgive them. The time you forgive them, the time you are in a peace.

Let us follow one story (abbreviated from a Chinese tale) - It seems two monks were walking.

One was younger to the other. They come to a stream and it was about to dark. So the older

monk asked a girl near the stream – Why don’t you go back to your place, it’s about to dark. And

the girl replied - I am afraid of crossing the stream. The young monk immediately offered help,

please get on to my shoulder. He carried her and crossed the stream. He dropped the girl on the

other side of the bank. Monks continued their journey but young monk observed disturbed old

monk. The older monk questioned him- How can you touch a girl? Don’t you know that we are

Sanyasi? We shall not touch the opposite sex?

Young monk said – the girl you are talking of is to whom I dropped long time back. Why are you

People will betray in your life, they will give you something in your life, why to carry them in

your head? Why to disturb your own peace? The only way to let them go from your head is to

forgive them. Forgiveness is not liberalizing others but it is liberalizing you from others. While

driving the rear view mirror has to be seen only for reference and driving has to be done through

wind sheet. Your thinking must be futuristic. The knowledge must not be wasted in dissecting

the past but in constructing the future.

Let’s feel the transformation; transformation is Trans formation that is transcending my old

version to the new version. Let’s evolve to stronger, matured manifested human being.

Let’s come out of the comfort zone. Even if nobody believes you but you believe in yourself,

you make your life. You will definitely architect altogether new future for yourself. Today is the

first day of your life. If you ask me today what is wrong with this country? Can we change the

nation? See, if you are trying to correct the present then you are banging your head against the

wall but if you want to build the nation then it’s possible. Invest in all those who are in the age

group of 15 to 25 today and they are the future.

If you study history carefully, the unintended consequences have shaped the history in a far

better way than those of intended consequences.

Don’t condition your self with words You Can’t.

You need to be sustainable in implementing a change. You think, person studies in IIM-

Ahemedabad, go to the organization and do some changes and achieves great heights? No! Its

when how he could enforce those changes persistently. Sustainability is important.

You desire 1st rank, you desire fame, you desire money, and you desire peace…. But in life you

don’t get what you desire but you will get what you deserve. By Indian cricket team winning the

match, you feel so happy. You celebrate, you enjoy. I accept that you feel proud that India is

winning international matches, India is achieving; but my question is what you do that India shall

be proud of? Where is your contribution?

Strive for excellence in a life to such a level that the country shall be proud of you. Conquer the

world with Passion, Perseverance and Consistency. God bless you!

ONE BEDROOM FLAT

I think most of you have already read this story, but today I again want you to read this. Think again on this. Like a mature guy....

ONE BEDROOM FLAT…

WRITTEN BY AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER..

A Bitter Reality

As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in Software
Engineering and joined a company based in USA, the land of braves and
opportunity. When I arrived in the USA, it was as if a dream had come
true.

Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I would
be staying in this country for about Five years in which time I would
have earned enough money to settle down in India.

My father was a government employee and after his retirement, the only
asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat.

I wanted to do some thing more than him. I started feeling homesick
and lonely as the time passed. I used to call home and speak to my
parents every week using cheap international phone cards. Two years
passed, two years of Burgers at McDonald’s and pizzas and discos and 2
years watching the foreign exchange rate getting happy whenever the
Rupee value went down.

Finally I decided to get married. Told my parents that I have only 10
days of holidays and everything must be done within these 10 days. I
got my ticket booked in the cheapest flight. Was jubilant and was
actually enjoying hopping for gifts for all my friends back home. If I
miss anyone then there will be talks. After reaching home I spent home
one week going through all the photographs of girls and as the time
was getting shorter I was forced to select one candidate.

In-laws told me, to my surprise, that I would have to get married in
2-3 days, as I will not get anymore holidays. After the marriage, it
was time to return to USA, after giving some money to my parents and
telling the neighbors to look after them, we returned to USA.

My wife enjoyed this country for about two months and then she started
feeling lonely. The frequency of calling India increased to twice in a
week sometimes 3 times a week. Our savings started diminishing.

After two more years we started to have kids. Two lovely kids, a boy
and a girl, were gifted to us by the almighty. Every time I spoke to
my parents, they asked me to come to India so that they can see their
grand-children.

Every year I decide to go to India… But part work part monetary
conditions prevented it. Years went by and visiting India was a
distant dream. Then suddenly one day I got a message that my parents
were seriously sick. I tried but I couldn’t get any holidays and thus
could not go to India … The next message I got was my parents had
passed away and as there was no one to do the last rights the society
members had done whatever they could. I was depressed. My parents had
passed away without seeing their grand children.

After couple more years passed away, much to my children’s dislike and
my wife’s joy we returned to India to settle down. I started to look
for a suitable property, but to my dismay my savings were short and
the property prices had gone up during all these years. I had to
return to the USA…

My wife refused to come back with me and my children refused to stay
in India… My 2 children and I returned to USA after promising my wife
I would be back for good after two years.

Time passed by, my daughter decided to get married to an American and
my son was happy living in USA… I decided that had enough and wound-up
every thing and returned to India… I had just enough money to buy a
decent 02 bedroom flat in a well-developed locality.

Now I am 60 years old and the only time I go out of the flat is for
the routine visit to the nearby temple. My faithful wife has also left
me and gone to the holy abode.

Sometimes

I wondered was it worth all this?

My father, even after staying in India,

Had a house to his name and I too have the same nothing more.

I lost my parents and children for just ONE EXTRA BEDROOM.

Looking out from the window I see a lot of children dancing. This
damned cable TV has spoiled our new generation and these children are
losing their values and culture because of it. I get occasional cards
from my children asking I am alright. Well at least they remember me.

Now perhaps after I die it will be the neighbors again who will be
performing my last rights, God Bless them.

But the question
still
remains ‘was all this worth it?’

I am still searching for an answer……………..!!!

START THINKING

IS IT JUST FOR ONE EXTRA BEDROOM???

LIFE IS BEYOND THIS …..DON’T JUST LEAVE YOUR LIFE ……..

START LIVING IT …….

LIVE ITAS YOU WANT IT TO BE …….

Fasting : The succesful technique

We all know that 16 august 2011 has become an historic day for Indian people as Anna Hazare and most of the Indians are fasting for the enactment of the jan lokpal bill. but why we are doing all this? Is this really going to help? Do you really think encourage the method of fasting for jan lokpal bill? Or do you think that that rather than being weak by fasting we can also fight by being strong politically, economically, and socially and then fight with the government? What do you think? which is the correct method fasting? or fighting after becoming strong enough?
Many people think that fasting is not the appropriate method . Are the correct
Fasting is the technique used by Mhatma Gandhi which helped in Indian independence movement. At first glance we can easily say that fasting is not the appropriate technique as in the processes we are fighting for ourselves and we are only damaging our health. It sounds very foolish, but practically it is very different because government knows that civilians have very much power in them but none of them is willing to use it and they can only become powerful is the get united and fasting just not includes damaging your health but it people makes aware and awake and unite and protest against government which is more harmful for the government rather than fighting individually.
In individual fighting though we are strong enough, we cannot put pressure on government because our human power is less. So the main point why fasting is better than fighting individually is human power.
The second point is we can put more pressure on the government by fasting because if we fight individually then government easily can shut our mouth by political powers. The main reason for this is corruption, and to stop corruption we must first use the technique of fasting uniting and fighting.
Then after the demolition of corruption we can easily fight with the government individually in other issues.
So I think son we all have must support Anna Hazare freely and keeping no doubt in mind about the technique
So let join hand and fight for corruption free India.

Second Freedom Struggle has Begun: Anna Hazare

Anna is determined to eradicate or to reduce corruption in India. He is a true Gandhian and he wished to show his determination by an indefinite fast.
Before Anna could commence his indefinite fast he was arrested and sent to seven-day judicial custody.
This action shows the whole helplessness how to deal with a movement that tries to overcome corruption.
The Government of India made a big mistake.

Anna is supported by people from all walks of life especially from the urban areas.
His arrest has sparked protest all over India.
Anna´s sharpest weapon against corruption is to fast. A tool the FATHER OF THE NATION USED.
Anna´s actions and protests are peaceful.
I am sure Anna and his supporters will have success. Their intentions are wonderful.
They dream of a prosperous India without corruption and chances for all Indians even for the poorest of the poor.
His struggle for an India without corruption cannot be stopped.
Anna I wish you success!

This is a trbute to those who are made house-less without any crime done ....

Twenty times the spees of Sound

The US military has created a supersonic aircraft that can travel to any place on Earth in less than 60 minutes, reaching speeds of 21,000kmph

US defence agency DARPA (Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency) will soon test fly a vehicle that can move at speeds in excess of 20,000 kilometres per hour.

The aircraft called Falcon hypersonic technology vehicle 2 will be launched in a rocket and will deploy in space. During re-entry the vehicle will experience temperatures up to 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit, that's hotter than a blast furnace used to melt steel.

The HTV-2 will take off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California aboard an Air Force Minotaur IV rocket, which is a decommissioned ballistic missile, the HTV-2 will separate and fly at a hypersonic glide trajectory within the earth’s atmosphere Mach 20 speeds, approximately 21,000 kilometres per hour.

The US military hopes that the success of the mission would give them strike capability to hit terrorists or rogue states anywhere in the world in short reaction time.

The Falcon HTV-2, estimated to cost $308 million, has the potential of carrying a payload 400 Kilograms, including a nuclear bomb and the projects completion schedule is 2025.

The hypersonic plane was tested in April this year, but the previous experiment lasted only nine minutes before the vehicle was deliberately crashed due to technical difficulties.

This mission, should it succeed, could set new records in sub-orbital space travel and pave the way for a generation of super weapons, he said.

Though the DARPA engineers have not disclosed which other countries are experimenting with the technology, it is believed that Indian defence scientists are also fairly advanced on hypersonic technology.

Hunter Squadron-Proud of the NDA....

The Hunter Squadron is the 4th squadron of the second batallion of the NDA.Name itself speaks volumes about the squadron.Hunter squadron is a totally different squadron from the another 14 squadrons of the NDA.The name of the squadron is also different as other squadrons have the names of various military codes such as Bravo,Alpha, kilo,Oscar,November etc.One more thing which is unique about the Hunter Squadron is the tradition of keeping moustaches by 1st to 4th year cadets. This unique tradition keeps Hunter Squadron apart from rest of the academy.
My friend just passed out from NDA,was also a Hunter. He is good boxer & also very good at physics.Generally Hunters are considered to be the good boxers....

THE AMAZING MOVIE ...!!!

Friends ,I just watched th movie Singham.
The corruption going on in cities is very clearly shown.
It is mainly concentrated on the effects of corruption mainly in police department.
If any officer just thinks of not supporting corruption, he is physically, mentally tortured. He dies 100 times before his death, he is forced to commit suicide. Nobody can oppose it as wherever we go, whoever we meet is corrupt. Despite of the action taken in the film, the problem of corruption is clearly shown in the film. Is there any solution to this problem? please watch the movie and think on it.

Employment

Employment
India's labor force is growing by 2.5% every year, but employment is growing only at 2.3% a year. Official unemployment exceeds 9%. Regulation and other obstacles have discouraged the emergence of formal businesses and jobs. Almost 30% of workers are casual workers who work only when they are able to get jobs and remain unpaid for the rest of the time. Only 10% of the workforce is in regular employment. India's labor regulations are heavy even by developing country standards and analysts have urged the government to abolish them.
From the overall stock of an estimated 458 million workers, 394 million (86%) operate in the unorganized sector (of which 63% are self-employed) mostly as informal workers. There is a strong relationship between the quality of employment and social and poverty characteristics. The relative growth of informal employment was more rapid within the organized rather than the unorganized sector. This informalization is also related to the flexibilization of employment in the organized sector that is suggested by the increasing use of contract labor by employers in order to benefit from more flexible labor practices.
Most children never go beyond primary level schooling. Children under 14 constitute 3.6% of the total labor force in the country. Of these children, 9 out of every 10 work in their own rural family settings. Around 85% of them are engaged in traditional agricultural activities. Less than 9% work in manufacturing, services and repairs. Child labor is a complex problem that is basically rooted in poverty. The Indian government is implementing the world's largest child labor elimination program, with primary education targeted for ~250 million. Numerous non-governmental and voluntary organizations are also involved. Special investigation cells have been set up in states to enforce existing laws banning employment of children (under 14) in hazardous industries. The allocation of the Government of India for the eradication of child labor was US$10 million in 1995-96 and US$16 million in 1996-97. The allocation for 2007 is US$21 million.
